NCF Carpets, a Sandwell carpet and furniture store, has been served with a Fixed Penalty Notice in the sum of £4,000 for failing to comply with Covid-19 requirements.
It allowed people into its store in Cape Hill, Smethwick and has now been issued with its third Fixed Penalty Notice, totalling £4,000 for the breaches.
Officers from Sandwell Council and West Midlands Police observed customers in the carpet shop, in breach of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020 which currently restricts access to such premises to click and collect only.
The owner had continued to operate and was served the additional Fixed Penalty Notice on February 2.
