George Green leads on food sector deal

A corporate team at George Green LLP, led by partner Philip Round, has advised Central Supplies (Brierley Hill) Limited on its acquisition of the share capital of Littletown Farm Limited.

Central Supplies, based in Cradley, have grown to be a highly regarded producer and distributor of dairy products and other provisions since they were founded in 1988. The acquisition of Littletown Farm Limited, a distributor of chilled and other food products based in Goole, fuels the continued expansion of Central Supplies’ nationwide offering.

Sean Trow, Commercial Director at Central Supplies, said “We are pleased to have completed this acquisition. The depot in Goole will enable us to further develop our sales to customers in the north of England and Scotland. The proximity of the depot will in addition allow us to improve on service levels and drive down distribution costs in order to make us even more competitive.  George Green played an important role in bringing in the acquisition on time for which we are most grateful.’’

Philip Round commented “We are delighted to have been able to support Central Supplies on their acquisition of Littletown Farm Limited. This is the second acquisition made by Central Supplies in the last 12 months as they continue to grow their impressive product range and distribution service. The transaction is one of a number of recent deals which we have completed in the food sector and adds to our strong start this year.”
