George Green Partner gets on his bike for charity

Tim Lang, Partner and Head of Employment at leading Black Country law firm George Green LLP has recently got on his bike for charity, by taking part in the annual Wolverhampton to Aberdovey bike ride.

Tim Lang and his team completed the gruelling 103 mile bike ride in less than eight hours, setting off from the Molineux Stadium at 7.30am and finishing mid afternoon. The Aberdovey Bike Ride has been running for nine years and attracted over 300 riders in 2011. Each rider is asked to fund raise and the money raised will be donated to a number of nominated local charities including Black Country Foodbank. Sponsorship money is still coming in, but in 2010 the ride raised £31,000.

Mr Lang put forward local charity Black Country Foodbank to be one of the nominated charities in 2011, as it has been chosen charity of George Green LLP since July 2010. In the past year, the firm has raised £1500.00 for the charity, through cake sales, sponsored walks and dress down days.

Mr Lang said “ The bike ride was very well organised and great fun to take part in but we were all delighted to see the finish line in Aberdovey ! “
