George Green team with Local School for Christmas Tree Festival

Local law firm, George Green LLP has teamed up with Corngreaves Academy once again to enable the school to participate in the Christmas Tree Festival at St Johns Church in Dudley Wood. All trees entered in the festival had a theme. This year Corngreaves Academy chose the theme of the 'meaning of Christmas'. The tree featured hand-made decorations made by children from all year groups.

Assistant Headteacher Helen Drinkwater commented ‘this is the third year that we have worked with George Green to create a tree for the festival.  This year we decided to focus on the title "the true meaning of Christmas" so that children had a good understanding of why Christmas is a celebration.  It's been wonderful to hear children talk about the different symbols and their meaning, and as a school it's really important to be a part of the community and its celebrations.’

David Stevenson, Chief Executive at George Green LLP comments: ‘George Green is delighted to support Corngreaves Academy and the Christmas Tree Festival again this year. We hope to support further local community projects in the future.’
