Employers who are concerned about the impact to their businesses of the recent holiday pay ruling will have the opportunity at an event in the Midlands to ask questions of the barrister who appeared on behalf of Bear Scotland Limited in the Employment Appeal Tribunal
Leading Midlands law firm George Green LLP have invited Niran de Silva from Littleton Chambers to attend a question and answer event with local employers on 26 November 2014 starting at 4.00pm at the Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton. The cost will be £20 plus VAT per attendee.
Tim Lang, Head of Employment at George Green LLP said as follows:
“ Many media reports of the Employment Appeal Tribunal case missed out a number of crucial points and the devil is very much in the detail. We are delighted that Niran de Silva has agreed to come up to Wolverhampton to explain some of those points and answer questions. We have had an unprecedented number of employers making contact in the days following the ruling to seek clarification. Employers face a considerable hike in their payroll costs going forward. This event will give those employers the opportunity to ask questions of Niran, to understand the implications of the decision and receive advice about how to proceed in the future and guard against the risks involved in future appeals.”
Employers who wish to attend the event should contact Klaudia Siwak at George Green LLP by email atksiwak@georgegreen.co.uk or by telephone on 01384 340585.
