A team from George Green LLP will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in this coming June, in aid of the firm’s charity of the year, Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
On Friday 17th June, five staff members from George Green LLP will take on the challenge of trekking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all within 24 hours. The challenge is both physically and mentally demanding however our team is enthusiastic about completing the Challenge together and raising as much money as possible for MNDA.
Those taking part in the challenge are Lauren Dale, Emma Fawkes-Underwood, Paul Woodman, Jane Williams and Greg Farley.
Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning. MND affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. It is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord; it attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. The Association funds and promotes research that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings us closer to a cure. As well as this it also funds specialist equipment and support grants for people diagnosed with MND.
David Stevenson, George Green’s Chief Executive said “The Three Peaks Challenge is set to be our biggest fundraising event of the year and I am so pleased that members of the George Green team have decided to take on the Challenge. This charity is close to our hearts and the money we raise over the next year will be going to help the MNDA group in Sandwell and Dudley.”
