George Green 'pack' raises money for MNDA

A ‘pack’ from George Green LLP completed the Wolf Run raising money for the firm’s charity of the year, Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

The Wolf Run took place on Sunday 10th April at Welsh Road Farm, Warwickshire. The 10k run saw our brave fundraisers tackle a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running including mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs across raw natural terrain including open ground, woodland, lakes and thick mud. Our team tackled a series of tough obstacles designed to test their mental and physical strength, skill and stamina.

The team included Alex Carr, Lauren Dale, Emma Fawkes-Underwood, Greg Farley, Paul Kettle and Paul Woodman.

The team raised over four hundred pounds in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time and it is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord; it attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. The Association funds and promotes research that leads to new understanding and treatments, and brings closer a cure. As well as this it also funds specialist equipment and support grants for people diagnosed with MND.

Lauren Dale, Trainee Solicitor at George Green LLP said “I am so pleased the Wolf Run was successfully completed by the whole team yesterday in rather boggy conditions! We were all covered head to toe in mud for the entire 10K. It was great fun and the sponsorship pledges really spurred us all on towards the end.”

David Stevenson, George Green’s Chief Executive commented “Everyone at the firm would like to congratulate the team for completing the Wolf Run last weekend! The Wolf Run is one of our many charity fundraising events throughout the year. Everyone at George Green is always keen to represent the firm and get involved in the various fundraising events across the firm. MNDA is a charity which is close to our hearts and I am so pleased the money we raise over the next year will be going towards supporting the local group in Sandwell and Dudley.”

Teams at George Green are now preparing for the next charity fundraising events including Walk to D’feet and the Three Peaks Challenge (Read more here). If you would like to donate please visit our just giving page.
