George Green Launches 2024 Undergraduate Student Vacation Scheme

This week, leading law firm George Green initiated its 2024 undergraduate student vacation scheme.

Over the coming weeks, several law students will immerse themselves in various departments at George Green, including Corporate, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution, Family, Private Client, and Employment. This program allows students to work closely with partners and lawyers, offering a first-hand experience of the firm's operations.

George Green annually recruits trainee solicitors, and the vacation placement scheme aims to give aspiring trainees a glimpse of the training process at the firm. David Stevenson, Chief Executive of George Green, elaborated, "The success of our business hinges on the quality of our lawyers, which largely depends on recruiting and training top talent. Equally important is our commitment to integrating trainees who share our core values, essential for fulfilling our mission to make a difference by helping our clients succeed."

Amy Brokenshire, Partner and Training Principe at George Green added, "Traditional recruitment methods, such as applications and interviews, have their limitations. Our vacation placement scheme provides students with an authentic taste of life at George Green, while also giving us a better chance to make informed recruitment decisions that best serve our clients."

Adam Johnson, Partner & Deputy Training Principal at George Green, emphasised the significance of the program, stating, "The vacation placement scheme is a crucial element of our recruitment process. We were thrilled by both the number and the quality of applications we received. Law continues to be a popular career choice for young people, and we are eager to offer them opportunities to join us and advance their careers."
