Overview of Emma’s practice

Emma is currently in the third seat of her training contract, in the firm’s corporate department. Emma works closely with the head of department, Sarah Ward. Since joining the corporate team in early October, Emma has been involved in several M&A transactions and assisted Sarah with completions prior to the October budget. Emma has also drafted documentation for share buybacks, redesignations and transfers.

Having previously worked at George Green as an Administrative Assistant for several months in 2019, Emma went onto study Law at the University of Warwick and graduated with a 2:1 Degree in 2022. She achieved a Distinction in her LPC at the University of Law in Birmingham and commenced her training contract at George Green in September 2023.

Emma’s first seat was in the commercial property department, where she assisted clients with leases, lease assignments, sales and purchases. Emma completed her second seat in the family department where she assisted in supporting clients with divorce and financial matters, private child arrangements and contested non-molestation orders.

And for something else…

Emma is on the committee of the Wolverhampton and Black Country Junior Lawyers Division, helping to organise networking events for trainee solicitors, paralegals and new qualified solicitors across the region. Outside of work, Emma enjoys keeping active - she ran the London Marathon in April 2024 and has completed several half marathons. Emma also loves travelling and is always planning her next city break!
