Overview of Heather’s practice

Heather trained and qualified as a solicitor at George Green LLP. She has previous experience working as a corporate services paralegal assisting primarily on property finance.

Heather advises on all aspects of commercial property work, however, predominately specialise in secured lending transactions acting for both borrower and lender.  Heather works closely with our banking partner to provide a high level of support and service in navigating the complexities of finance, whilst working to resolve matters quickly and efficiently. The experience and knowledge she has gained whilst working as a corporate services paralegal has proved invaluable when it comes to helping borrower clients deal with “tricky” aspects of commercial financing.

Heather has experience of dealing with property acquisitions and disposals for a range of different clients. Her clients operate in a variety of sectors including social care, retail, property investment and industrial.  Recently, she has supported property developers in acquiring sites for residential development which has included providing advice on overage, conditional sale agreements and option agreements. Heather works closely with her clients to understand their goals so she can deliver honest and effective advice.

Recent experience

• Assisted with a £3million acquisition on behalf of a social care client which was funded by a non-high street lender
• Provided property assistance to the corporate team in completion of an acquisition of a Care Home business, this was funded by an ongoing term loan facility of circa £27million. The deal included reviewing property due diligence and coordinating with seller’s solicitors and lender’s solicitors
• Regularly acting for a local retail business in expanding its portfolio of shops by taking on leases across the West Midlands

And, for something else……

Heather has a keen interest in achieving optimal health and fitness meaning much of her time outside of the office is spent in the gym and exploring the great outdoors. She also enjoys being charitable and as such is a member of the firm’s Charity Committee, assisting with the organisation of a number of social events throughout the year in aid of our nominated charity of the year.
