Leading the transaction on seller-side was Sarah Ward, Corporate Partner and Head of the Corporate Team at George Green who was primarily assisted by Corporate Solicitor Jonathan Bradley and Property Partner and Head of the George Green Property Team, Emma Fawkes – Underwood with Thomas Walton, a trainee solicitor in the Property Team.
The team acted for the sellers on the sale of the Thermoseal holding company to Fenzi, a Milan-based chemical company specialising in glass processing solutions, in a deal that marks a significant milestone for both companies and promises to open up new opportunities for customers of both companies.
The Thermoseal Group is an international supplier of insulated glass components. With depots across the country, Thermoseal’s head office is in Birmingham with facilities also in Wigan where they manufacture and distribute over 2500 types of insulated glass components.
Sarah Ward commented “we were delighted that the sellers put their trust in us to help guide them through this transaction. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Gwain throughout. Given the many decades in which Gwain and his team have worked towards building the Thermoseal business and brand, it is very pleasing to see them achieve value from this transaction which paves the way for Thermoseal to access new markets and take advantage of new opportunities”.
Gwain Paterson, the managing director of the Thermoseal Group, commented “I would just like to thank Sarah Ward and Jonathan Bradley from George Green who acted as legal advisors during the sale of our business to the Fenzi group.
Sarah’s professionalism, expertise and experience contributed to a successful sale of our business, and George Green’s fees remained within budget.
I would recommend Sarah and the team to anybody considering selling their business"
Fenzi were advised by international law firm Jones Day.
